Below you’ll find answers to some typical questions that I’ve gotten in the past. Click through and if you don’t find an answer, please get in touch.
What can I expect from the first session?
We will connect and I will listen to you and gain a clearer understanding of what matters to you. We will begin co-creating an authentic and safe therapeutic relationship. We will move at your pace. We will delve into what your goals might be. If you don’t have any in mind, that’s okay. We will address them together. It is important to me to know how you’d like to feel, and experience life differently as a result of our time together. I believe in actionable change-meaning you see and feel results in your day to day as a result of the internal shifts you make in therapy. You are also welcome to ask questions at any point during our sessions.
Are my sessions covered by MSP or extended health insurance?
Counselling is not covered by MSP. If you have extended benefits, please check with your extended health care provider to see if your benefits cover sessions with a Registered Clinical Counsellor. I don’t directly bill your extended health care provider. You will get a receipt after each session and then you’ll submit the receipt to your extended benefit plan for reimbursement.
What are the fees for the sessions?
$160.00/50 mins plus GST. $168.00 for Individuals
$175.00/50 mins plus GST. $183.75 for Couples
How do I pay for the sessions?
All payments will be made through the Jane app through Interac on the platform. Please pay prior to the session. Please send the e-transfer to jane@olivecounselling.ca
What is your cancellation policy?
Please give 48 hours notice for cancellations. Less than 48 hours and a 50% fee will be charged. Less than 24 hours and you will be charged full price for the session.
What happens if I need to speak to you between sessions?
